Yes, they need to be playing defense. However, the position where each person is placed is up to the team’s discretion. For example, one female can play left outfield and the other female right outfield. Or one is 1st base and the other one is pitching. Or one can play infield and the other person outfield.
A Team with the minimum of two females/males, do they need to be in the kicking lineup?
Yes, they do. It is up to the team where to place them in the lineup.
